Migrate from Jira Server to Cloud
No draw.io-specific steps are needed to migrate from Jira Server or Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud. Your diagrams migrate automatically with your Jira data.
draw.io diagrams are stored as attachments on Jira issues. Atlassian's Jira Cloud Migration Assistant copies issue attachments as part of a standard migration, and draw.io for Jira Cloud reads diagrams saved by Jira Server and Jira Data Center directly. There is nothing to convert, export or prepare, before or after the migration.
- Install draw.io for Jira Cloud on your Cloud site.
- Migrate to Jira Cloud with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant as usual.
Your diagrams will open in Jira Cloud as soon as their issues have been migrated.
Note: Jira Cloud displays and edits the latest version of each diagram. The revision history stored by draw.io for Jira Data Center is not browsable in Jira Cloud.
Note: If the draw.io diagram search in Jira Cloud does not find your migrated diagrams, go to Settings > Apps > draw.io Configuration and click Start Indexing.
