draw.io trademark guidelines
draw.io is a registered trademark of draw.io Ltd (EU trademark 018062448). diagrams.net is a trademark of draw.io Ltd. The draw.io logo is also a trademark of draw.io Ltd.
These guidelines explain how you can refer to draw.io when you build a product that works with draw.io, write about draw.io, or distribute a modified version of the draw.io source code. They keep it clear to users which products are made by draw.io and which are not.
Refer to draw.io accurately
You can use the draw.io name in text to state truthfully that your product works with draw.io. For example:
- "Insert draw.io diagrams in your pages."
- "Opens and saves
.drawiofiles." - "Exports your network topology as a draw.io diagram."
Write the name as draw.io, in lower case, even at the start of a sentence.
Give your product its own name
Don't use draw.io, drawio, draw-io, diagrams.net or a similar name as or in the name of your app, service, AI tool, MCP server, agent skill, website, domain, repository, package or social media account. A name such as "drawio-ai", "AI draw.io" or "draw.io Pro" suggests that draw.io makes your product.
Add-ons for other products: An add-on or plugin that puts the draw.io editor into another product can describe what it does, for example "draw.io integration for Acme Wiki". Give the add-on its own name where the host product allows it.
Don't suggest that draw.io endorses your product
- Don't say or suggest that your product is official, certified, endorsed or sponsored by draw.io.
- Make it clear who makes your product. For example: "Acme Diagrams is not made or endorsed by draw.io Ltd. draw.io is a registered trademark of draw.io Ltd."
Don't use the draw.io logo
- Don't use the draw.io logo, or a logo that looks like it, as or in the logo, app icon, favicon or social media profile picture of your product, project or business.
- Don't change the draw.io logo.
- Any other use of the draw.io logo needs our written permission.
Distribute a modified version of draw.io
The draw.io source code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Section 6 of the licence does not give you permission to use the draw.io trademarks.
If you distribute a modified version of draw.io, give it your own name and logo. You can say that it is based on the draw.io source code.
Ask for permission
For any use that these guidelines don't cover, you need our written permission. Email [email protected] to ask for permission, or to ask whether your use follows these guidelines.
